The facility is incredible (and clean); however, be sure to understand the expectations of the teachers and especially the current director (9/08). Most two year olds go through terrible two’s, but the director thinks that all two years olds should act older than they are mentally prepared for. Check for stability in the teachers and their qualifications. We were threatened with disenrollment because the director targeted our child as a two year old that misbehaves and has trouble focusing.

this center is …is a lot of fun! There’s always something really neat going on, and the teachers are always busy working away. The best part is how they are always cleaning and trying to keep stuff as germ-free as possible

this center is …Crème De La Crème Preschool has a fun loving family atmosphere. .The daily activities have kept my little one learning and having fun at the same time! Professional, child appropriate lessons and developmental practice, easy location, great parent-teacher communication
My Daughter goes to Crème de la crème to. She has never been happier. She is mad when it is time to go home. She has a lot of fun there and is never bored. She always has a great story about what cool stuff she does there and how great the group of kids are to play with.
Lots of learning going on here. Caring staff

..What a wonderfully fabulous place to send a child! As a teacher myself I just couldn’t be more pleased to send my children here! I leave for work knowing that my children are having a great day!!! The staff is very attentive and caring!

this day care is very clean but there are some very big issues. We were considering this day care for our little girl but after careful review we decided not to enroll Sarah. Our daughter is 19 months old and the director and lead teacher of this group personalities didn’t sit well with us. The lead teacher who is from one of the Caribbean Island accepts tips ($$$ money/cash) from parents. As a result of her accepting “tips” from other parents she ignores and is hatful to children who parents don’t tip! Furthermore, the director and the assistant director don’t hold degrees in early childhood education or any form of educational degree at Creme de la Creme at Sugarloaf, Duluth, GA. So parents please take into consideration what’s really important- image or how well your children learn and develop.

Don’t Remove my review. I will merely continue to repost and REPOST ALL over the web!
There are some serious issue with Creme de la Creme at the Duluth location. If this post is taken down I will file a complaint with the state broad of Day Care Services within the state of GA!
I took my daughter out of Creme (19 months old at the time) because the lead teach was and still is accepting tips from other parents. Parents whom do not offer “tips- cash payments” to the West Indian teacher have different experience of child care! This teacher, I wont offer her name, is hostile and rude to children and parents whom are not on her “tip” payroll.
FACT- The director and her Asst. do not hold degrees which are within the educational arena!

This comment is for ladygotahm alias madmom …
Was your child in the toddler class? My daughter is in the toddler class and I am VERY VERY worried after reading your review…

Would be VERY grateful if you could relpy…

this center is … awesome. I have been a Creme mom for 2.5 years and have been at Sugarloaf for 1.5. I have had two children there. They prepared my oldest for kindergarten at a level other centers could not match. My youngest son had a “caribbean” teacher that ladygotham accused of taking tips…couldn’t be farther from the truth! I have never seen her without a smile on her face and have never heard her speak harshly to any child. There’s no way I would even think of “tipping” a childcare provider so that’s preposterous to me. The entire place has short circuit tv cameras, so any mistreatment would be noticed by all. The other teacher in the toddler class is equally nice. I have spent a lot of time at this facility and know many teachers there, as well as the other parents. They are all loving and genuinely care about these kids. The director has always been supportive. All centers have children that have to be redirected when they are potentially harmful to other children. If it cannot be controlled any facility will have to ask them to leave, although I am not aware of this happening at this center. I have been to other facilities that have made that choice without offering a chance for the child to improve.

My 2 yr old daughter is currently enrolled at Creme in Duluth in the toddler class that has been referenced here by other parents and her teacher (whom I absolutley LOVE) speaks with a “caribbean” accent. I find the post by the disgruntled parent impossible to believe and have never witnessed or heard of the referenced teacher doing anything of the nature she is being accused of. I am EXTREMELY happy with this school and especially the teacher with the “Caribbean” accent. I have NEVER seen her be rude or treat any child with hostility. I find it interesting that a parent accusing someone else of being hostile and rude, is posting very hostile, rude and harmful information about another person…. sounds fishy to me. I moved my daughter to creme b/c she was having a hard time transitioning to school in another program. I chose it specifically b/c I wanted her to be in a warm nurturing environment and I was sure she would get it based on meeting and interacting with the referenced teacher. She transitioned very well and loves the school. I credit her teacher for helping with this transition and helping me as a mom feel very comfortable leaving my daughter. I would NEVER consider tipping a child care provider and as a parent of a child in this class, I am a bit insulted that someone would accuse me (us) of doing so. I would highly reccommend this school, the toddler class and escpecially the teacher being referenced here. She is nurturing, warm and genuinely cares for my child…

This center is awesome. My wife and I are very satisfied with the center and the staff. Our daughter was is the toddler class “madmom” is referring to and I must say this tipping business is very hard to believe. Our daughter needed more attention than most at the time we enrolled her. The teacher in question and the director did a fantastic job getting her settled in and making us feel comfortable. We had some unusual requests when we came here and the director and all the staff have done their very best to accommodate us. This “teacher with the caribbean accent” did an amazing job with our daughter. She is very attentive and caring to all her kids. And even though she spent some extra time with my daughter, she never asked for anything. She was always pleasant and never rude. All we ever gave her was a thank you and we love her dearly.
We have a baby boy now and he’ll be enrolled at this center as soon as he’s old enough.
As a concerned parent,I’m curious about this tipping matter so I hope Ladygotham/Madmom reveals her source. Otherwise, one can’t help but wonder about her true intentions here.

I consider myself a well-informed consumer and did my due diligence before enrolling my oldest son into the Sugarloaf Creme de la Creme. My process included combing the internet searches for parent reviews, speaking with parents in my area, visits to all competing centers in the area, and dropping in a few times to “visit”.
I feel like our family has struck gold with the teachers and management staff at Creme. Not only are my children receiving a great head start in their education but the Creme Executive team has shown without a doubt they are truly invested in establishing a partnership with my husband and I to educate our “whole child”. We moved my son from a Family Day Care to Creme when he was 2.5 and they worked closely with us thru the rough spots to ease his transition into pre-school. I’ve seen the results within my now 4 yr old son of how well he is able to articulate his feelings rather than throwing a tantrum.
If we are missing, due to illness or vacation, it is often expressed thru a phone call or thru conversation that our presence was missed. During our recent family expansion, I re-interviewed Creme for my newborn and fell in love all over again with the care my children are getting. As a working mother, I feel less guilt about having to work knowing they are being well cared for. It’s a sacrifice for my husband and me financially but it’s well worth the investment in our children. And I’ll say we’re receiving a 200% return. Thank you to my Creme Family!

That’s just crazy. As a current parent, I’m ticked off because my son has been in the toddler class and I have never tipped any teacher or any one else. Furthermore, Crème costs more than the average early childhood center in the metro area, so there is absolutely no reason to tip. Whatever personal issues you have going on, you might want to take your frustrations out on someone else who cares. Statistically, when you do sampling (which a review is a sampling), any random sample that is outside the range of the results are thrown out and considered invalid as if they do not exist. So that’s exactly what I’ll do; throw it out. As a West Indian native myself, I’m offended, and I think you are just discriminating because of her nativity. All the teachers have treated my son with the utmost care, and I’m very grateful. Leaving my son there gives me peace of mind when I leave to go to work all the way downtown. Parents and prospective parents, there are cameras in the lobby, and you have access and are welcomed to sit in the lobby and watch your child interact all day, so you can see for you self if you like. I’ve done it time and time again.
Although, my son is no longer in the toddler class, I will even go as far as to give Kudos to the referenced teacher for recognizing a medical condition with my son, that was confirmed by the specialist and I am so pleased for that. I have no complaints and nothing mad-mom or any one else says can change my mind. Why? Because I have a mind of my own and I follow my instincts and not someone else’s. So you have your thoughts and I have mine. And furthermore if I have issues with someone, I can and will handle it myself, I don’t need anyone else’s OPINION – that’s exactly what it is, an OPINION. So until I see different, my son stays.
It seems like the whiners have too much wasted time on their hands to be threatening to post all over the net. Find something else constructive to do with your time.

this center is … are you kidding me “Ladygotham” aka “Mad Mom” sounds like you are both one in the same.
First of all, on education, I think you need to proof read your spelling as well as your grammer before you call anyone out on education.
Personally, I am both happy and sad that you did not “enroll” or “removed” your 19 month year old. Happy that we don’t have a parent like you joining our Creme family and sad that your 19 month year old will miss out on probably one of the best early childhood development experiences of their life because of “hear say” rather than truth/fact and real life experience.
I started my son in that very toddler room you are referring to at 18 months with infact that Carribean West Indian teacher that you refer to. As a new parent to day care, The Creme de la Creme Family at Sugarloaf (directors, entire staff as well as the lead teacher in the toddler class)help transition my son through all those first weeks of tears to now happy smiles, laughter, great friendships and what I know to be the most superior education, in a safe and clean environment. In particularly they did this not by what they were trained, taught and asked to do but rather by the kind of people they are at this facility. By merely, a touch, holding, hug, until my son felt safe and comfortable and now never wants to leave at the end of the day. Again the Sugarloaf Creme de la Creme is not just a group of Directos, Teachers, and Staff its our extended family when we are not or can’t be there for our kids.
So as far as the ridiculous accusation of “tipping” teachers it’s just not true or a fact.
As far as education, if you research the philosophy and methodology behind the creme curriculum then you know what superior education is being taught there and the requirements necessary to join this organization.
Really anyone is welcome at anytime of the day, no appt, to come in and sit and watch the TV monitors, so I say come see for yourself what type of place this is, for me the Sugarloaf Creme de la Creme is now my extended family.

We love the Sugarloaf Creme and feel so lucky to have it as an options for our kids. We were at a private daycare/school before we moved to Duluth, and were so sad to have to leave it, but Creme has been the answer to our prayers. The teachers are warm and loving, and the idea that they treat kids differently is ridiculous. Our kids love going to school and are thriving there, acedemically & socially.
The education, environment and student/teacher ratio is far superior to anything else in the area. I can’t imagine sending our kids anywhere else!

I have to agree to those of you who made comments about the director. Shortly after her arrival there was a huge change in the staff members. She fired many of them, and only a few of the original employees remained. I don’t know what is going on with this lady, but many of the employees were not happy with the way she was treating them. I suggest you research of all of this. To the parents who had their kids enrolled there before they switched directors, didn’t you notice the change in staff??? And I’m not just talking about 2 or 3 employees!

Having read the reviews of…. made on August 8th, 10th, and 11th, I could not keep silent. My impressions is that these reviews were written by a person who has never visited Creme de La Creme. As I am wondering if the reviewer perhaps confused our school with another school. Otherwise, I don’t know who would be interested in writing these stories. Is this caused by envy, competition, or low self-esteem of the commentator? It is so strange …I don’t like when other people make malicious comments about honest, creative, and hard working people. Please find something else to do with you time. Visit your doctor.
