My child attended this school for a short time. I has absolutely no problems with my child’s teacher, however there were major issues with Angie, the owner of the school. She was often times rude and talked down to parents as if they were children. I am a well educated woman with an MBA and her insult to my intellegence was intolerable. The school’s director was wonderful however. Always very helpful and attentive to both mine and my child’s needs. I however ultimately decided I cannot have my child attend a school, paying ridiculous amounts of money, where I do not respect the owner. Her business practices are far below average.

Our daughter has been at this school for a full year now and we have been really pleased. I have a Masters in Education and have had no problems working with the owner, director, and staff – they have been very flexible and considerate. In fact, during this past year (their first open) they evaluated their operations costs and actually LOWERED everyone’s tuition across the board when they realized that their costs weren’t as high as they’d anticipated. They have had typical issues with turnover, but my daughter has been pleased with all of her teachers and their standardized report form has allowed me to get a consistent idea of how she’s doing daily regardless of which teacher is in place.

Our son has been attending this school for about a year now and we have been extremely happy with how we have been treated. Our son is very happy to go every day and usually wants to stay and play with his teachers and friends. He also makes it a point to stop every morning and evening to talk to the owner and director about his day and they both are always excited to talk to him as well. I feel that the turnover with teachers is not abnormal and that they put a lot of time and energy into hiring teachers that are really great with kids. My son has loved all of his teachers as he has graduated to different classrooms. Also, the school is very clean and I NEVER have to worry about him being happy or well taken care of!! I recommend this school to all of friends!

My daughter was at this daycare for a short pierod of time. I would encourage you to stay away from this center! Being there for only a few months I had horrible encounters with the owners. They were rude and had no idea on how to run a business. This day care has almost been open a year and is now looking for their FIFTH director! They also have a horrible turnover rate with teachers. There have been atleast 25 teachers in and out of this daycare. Most centers keep the same director for years. When developing a relationshp with my daughters teacher, i found out how horribly they were treated by the owners and the cruel remarks that were said about certain parents to the teachers.. I strongly discourage you to attend this center.

I agree with the last posting. I to had my son in here for avery short time before I pulled him out. These owners are horrible. They force there director to post false reviews on here to boost there school because they know how horrible the way they treat the parents and the staff.

The director is forced to write these false positive statements by the owner. All these 5 stars were put in by the owners themselves. Whomever is writing these as a parent that is truly happy with this school, step up and say your name. There will be no one. Trust me…

Parents please keep your children away from this school. especially if you want to keep them safe. My child encountered bullying. We were told that it was just children playing and that my child was lying about the whole thing. This “school” is not a safe place.

The Fredericksburg VA Tidewater Trail center is a NIGHTMARE with a capital FRIGHT. The staff is very loving towards the children. However, what makes the Fredericksburg VA Tidewater Trail center so unbearable is the manager. Swooping in like the dreaded horse of the apocalypse, she is an unrelenting wicked,mean-spirited bully with a cigarette in one hand and a red bull in the other reminding us that she is the boss and can do it all. But only half-a**ed according to her boss who quit HER job because she could no long deal with this abomination. Beware of high price, they will tell you anything you want to hear to get your money then badger you if a payment is second late. Very bad drug laden neighborhood behind center. The staff is on pins and needles over this demon incarnate lurking in the corner like black mold. You can see it, it looks harmless, but before you know it, slowly drains you of your health and energy. Run away as fast as you can.

I would say first “Parents please keep your children away from this school.” I had very horrible experience with the current director Ms. Rebekah, owner and school policies and teachers. The school looks clean/neat and owner talks very sweetly in the begining but do not join your children with these factors. Mostly nice teachers do not stay longer in this school because of the worst behaviour of director and cunning the owner. I strongly discourage parents sending kids to this center.

What I was most impressed with was how the teachers interacted with the children. They have a special ability for communicating with the kids, promoting self confidence, socialization, and problem solving skills

The turnover rate in childcare is high, but at this school it has got to be higher than average. How many teachers have I seen last just a few weeks? The owner, Angie is the reason why no one sticks around. Not only can she be rude to parents, as one commenter already stated, but she is rude to her staff on a consistent basis. She’ll even give them a hard time if they’re sick and demand they come in! This is because she does not have enough staff to cover even one absence. If a teacher or two is out, it throws off the entire day, and the director is running around doing the jobs of an assistant teacher. Anyway, back to my original point: If you are thinking about sending your child to this school, chances are their teacher will change several times throughout the year. One of the most important things to look for when deciding on a preschool or daycare is whether or not the staff is satisfied with the management. Angie is a micromanager who is more concerned with whether or not your hair is in its regulation ponytail instead of addressing urgent behavioral problems in the classrooms.

That leads me to another point. Some children will adapt just fine to this revolving door of teacher, others do not. Even if your child falls into the first category, the ones who have difficulty adjusting to a new teacher every other month can make it very difficult to teach class. This school (and perhaps all Goddard Schools, I really can’t say) does not have an effective discipline policy AT ALL. Children who are disruptive and violent on a daily basis, all day long, can be challenging for even the best teachers. The school’s leadership offers teachers little to no support for dealing with problems of this nature, and it seems that every classroom usually has at least one kid with extreme behavioral/emotional troubles. The management will also never suggest to parents how they can help more effectively, lest they risk offending the parents and losing their money, should they withdraw their child from the school. But the other parents do not want to pay good money to have their children come home with bite marks and bruises!

Do you suspect your child might have special needs, such as autism? Once again, do not seek a recommendation here. They won’t want to risk offending you and seeing a drop in enrollment, and your child misses out on critical early intervention that will have a lasting impact for the rest of their lives. Teachers aren’t allowed to discuss the subject with parents and will get in trouble for sharing their thoughts, even if they are asked for by the parents. Also, though the school accepts children with autism and other special needs, many if not most of the teachers lack the training to properly help these kids. There are no special policies like IEP in place that I’m aware of.
