After a horrible time last year, they brought in a new director and several new teachers and things were really starting to pick up. The teachers were happier, the children happier, the classrooms were more cheerful, the office staff was smiling and helpful. Then a couple of weeks ago the Assistant Director Miss Barb was gone and earlier this week the Director Miss Jen is gone, and now I hear the Regional Director is gone. This is very hard on the children when the main office just makes these people go away with no goodbyes, and the only thing the parents hear is "business decision". Celebree please remember you are dealing with small children who don't understand 'business decision' and parents who don't like the idea that it appears you are trying to fix what isn't broke.<ul></ul> What is happening at Celebree Mt Airy??? The office members are VERY informitive and help with any concerns right away, I do not know why these ratings are so low. YES Dawn is the owner's wife so of course her review is rosy!!!! And all their teachers DO NOT have degrees!! Some have not even attended the Celebree training!! They have a 20 year old 'manager' who does not have a degree, is never on time and smokes in front of the building!!! The staff is extremeley overworked and the office staff does a wonderful making excuses to them and parents about it instead of doing something about it. They hide behind the idea of doing as little as possible in order to give the appearance of being wonderful. Health and safety...HAHA!! I agree with the parent. The staff is overworked, sometimes required to be there opening to closing, working over 50 hours a week! Mixing of classes/ages, ALWAYS!! That is how they get away with having as few teachers as possible and expect that teacher to keep the curriculum constant with an range of children that can vary up to 3 years!! The office staff is lazy and not helpful at all. They are rude to parents and make false promises to their staff. They should put themsleves in the shoes of the teachers for a day and follow the same standard. Instead, they take lunch when they want, they take off when they want/need to, make appts during work hours, bring their children to work and keep the staff late instead of helping out when needed. PS, yes Dawn is the OWNER'S WIFE!! The owner is under an impression that everything is wonderful at his centers. But just the like the management if he spent a week in these classrooms, he would know what was really going on!!!! I would NEVER leave my children at Celebree again!!! they are only interested in making money, keeping that center full. Love that "Dawn Huffman" rated this school. I was recently reading some literature from the school and learned she is the Founder, CEO's wife. NICE, no wonder the rating was perfect!! Older kids are mixed with very young kids resulting in bullying. Office staff is not responsive to parents concerns and complaints.
