Parent Review

If you can afford it and want your child to read and write by the time they are five this may be the program for you. The Montessori school in Englewood is done in the true Montessori fashion. Children are given workbooks and everyday mover from subject area to subject area as they learn to read and write numbers. While the program is very organized this may not be the preschool program for all as it has a strong emphasis on learning. This really all depends on your belief as to what age you think your child should be receiving homework and be expected to learn. The program ages from 3mos through 5 years with each classroom sectioned off. The infant room stands out as one of the few that I have seen that is spacious and provides a wonderful ratio for parents. Though this center is pricey children for the most part seem happy and teachers seem dedicated. If you can afford it and want your child to read and write by the time they are five this may be the program for you.

A lot of space but some things are not done properly. Some teachers are questionable. Overall management seems a tad lax.

But the head teacher is the magic that hold this center together!

My child at two knew her colors and could count in Spanish. She learned quickly and loved it.

this center is …not worth the money. It is not very clean. Management is VERY lax, at times the staff seems confused. Save you money and send your child to public school.

this center is …the worst, owner takes advantage of under paying workers, who are also questionable….don’t be fooled by your first visit by the owner they are never present. once they get your deposit the don’t give a sh*t about you or your child.
    state should review this school…

  5. This school is wonderful for infants thru 5yrs old. It upsets me seeing the negative reviews. I am a parent and former employee and personally loved this school structure, daycare staff and directors and owners. They were all greatly dedicated caring staff whom I adored dearly. I have always remembered this school still continue to treasure the memories. I always recommend this school to everyone I know and will continue to recommend this school to people. This is one of the best schools, directors, owners, teachers and staff that I have seen in the past 5 years of being a mother and decided to care for my own daughter since I worked in this Montessori. I have liked very few schools but the ones I did like are very expensive nowadays. Many day care sems have changed and will continue to change since teachers now are only hired if they are licensed. Some teachers are licensed but may lack day care experience and vice versa. Many daycare centers and montessori and private schools should consider lowering tuition so teachers and staff are better compensated for their work but should also open the doors to college educated like alternate route to teaching in day care system, Montessori, and school systems.

This school has declined in the past few years. When we first arrived it was an educated loving Teacher who was in charge of the ps/ok class, she no longer teaches due to a medical reason. When she left in winter of 2012 the program when straight DOWN HILL! After speaking with several other parents my child isn’t the only one that doesn’t want to come to school, is not excited about school any longer, doesn’t want to complete his homework nor can tell you what he has learned for the day. They just implemented a new system where it is no longer open door policy, you can not view your child nor assist them with morning prep or preparing them for going home in the afternoon. That was one of the key ingredients to success, knowing your child is ok at any given time, knowing you can pop in & take a look at your angel. You don’t know who’s in charge. Most of the staff are under qualified. One of the directors in my opinion is a rude money hungry evil lady & her daughter is a weak leader. This post is to inform parents to do deep research when it comes to our most prized gift of all, Our Children.
