I had a terrible experience with this center it is filled with beautiful classrooms and very unhappy teachers. the directer is very rude to the employees. Harsh working conditions make it impossible to have effective happy teachers and teacher assistants, during my daughters time there i witnessed countless excellent teachers and assistants quite or be fired, my daughter had 4 new teachers in one school year, It is unfortunate. The administration staff is very unprofessional over the phone and in person. and if all of that is not enough the directors husband is not qualified to be an acting director , yet he assumes the role very often .H e once yelled at my daughters teacher right in front of me using terrible work ethic. this is no setting for early childhood development , good teachers nice building but it all goes to waste dont fall for the allusion, its more trouble them good.

I had a very bad experience at this daycare facility.About five years ago this Daycare was rated number one in jersey city, but i guess as time went by i guess too much praise went to there head. They say there curriculum is teach through play. Thats just another way to say we do nothing all day but look at you child play with other children. The administators are rude and never solve anything.when i enrolled my son at this school he already knew how to count ,spell his name and other thing a three year old should know.He has not learned anything new but how to play with the kids. This is the answer i received when i asked what did you do in school today. So basically all im trying to say is parents beware. If you can send you child somewhere else do so,dont just settle because its free like i did.

It is a shame that this site is use to slander centers. If you do not have anything nice to say, then move on.
Professionals and parents who are in tune with their children understand the importance of preschool if they seek their services. If you want quality, then expect it. Unfit teachers should not be in a classroom and children at this age learn through play. If your child knows everything a preschooler should know at 3 years old then send them to college. My child learned chess, spanish as well as other social and academic skills for a preschooler to learn. If I asked my child, “what did you do today?” and they answered, “play”, I would follow up as a concerned parent with “What did you play? and other appropriate question. This school has NAEYC’s accreditation. Parents find out what that means.
Hundreds of other parents are happy and continue to be. Keep shining It Takes A Village.

I stumbled on this site and am shocked at what I read. These comments are unfortunate. Sorry, you had a bad experience but it sounds more personal than academic. You kept your child there with unhappy teachers and a mean director, shame on you!!!!! Three of my children atteded this school and I only have great comments. Field trips, chess, spanish, outdoor playground, library as well as a curriculum to follow is available at this school. As a teacher myself, this is a great environment. Isolated instances do not make a place horrible. Stay positive- It Takes A Village

To the comments about the unpleasant experiences.
As a parent, it sounds like unhappy employees who did not make the cut. You did not belong there if you could not perform the job. I have two children 5 years apart and they were able to have the same preschool teacher at my request. The expectations are high there for teachers. I see the changes that have been made for the better. Do not spread negativity because that’s what you wreceive. Move on and be happy. This is a school in the community that cares!! Grow up

I have two children who attend this school. I find that school has helped me help my children. To the parents with bad experiences, first you need to learn how to write before you call anyone rude and unprofessional. Also, if everybody was rude or unhappy, why did you leave your child there? For anyone reading, do not believe their hype. How does someone’s head get big for doing the job that is suppose to be done. I am a human resource manager and people fire themselves when they do not perform the job. If your child could write and count why didn’t he elaborate on what he did for the day. These two parents are showing their lack of education and lack of parenting skills.

very well organized- works to educate the whole child -I’ve learned that children do learn from social interaction and hands on experiences not worksheets Parents educate yourselves on child development
